My policies ensure that the government works for Idahoans, preserving and protecting our natural resources, freedoms and way of life.
Every hard-working Idahoan deserves a shot at the American Dream: a place to call home and the ability to pay their bills.
- Reduce costs of gas, fertilizer and groceries. Adjust tariffs, return Constitutional controls to Congress, lowering the cost of groceries, farm supplies, and construction.
- Lower the cost of housing by expanding the ROAD to Housing Act, cutting more red tape, funding rural housing, and outright banning corporate purchase of single-family homes.
- Lower rental rates by preventing algorithm-based price-fixing by property management companies, which has cost Idahoans hundreds of millions of dollars.
Idahoans are paying their fair share of taxes but billionaires and corporations aren’t.
Idaho is a potluck state. Everyone brings a dish and everyone gets a plate. But that’s not how our tax code works right now. Outside interests are sitting down to eat while working families are covering the tab.
- Close the loopholes that favor corporations and the ultra-wealthy. Put more money in the pockets of working families. Right the load.
- Cut taxes for the working class, families and small businesses
- Tax capital like labor. A dollar earned by an Idaho worker shouldn’t be taxed more than a dollar earned by a Wall Street investor.
- Go after the evaders. Nearly a third of all unpaid taxes come from the top 1%. We’ll collect the over $200B per year that billionaires owe, instead of squeezing working families for more.
- Simplify the tax code with fewer brackets and loopholes
- Bring more tax dollars back to Idaho communities. So Idahoans receive the impact of our hard earned dollars: Infrastructure, education, hospitals.
Washington DC and out-of-state billionaires are eyeing Idaho’s water, power, and land to build data centers that profit them and cost us, draining water tables, driving up electricity bills, and devouring open space, without our input.
- No data center gets built in Idaho without complete local control. Ultimate authority belongs to the counties and communities affected. If a project doesn’t benefit the community it doesn’t belong here.
- No to the Proposed Data Center on our Public Land – Idaho’s Snake River Plain Aquifer is currently one of the Department of Energy’s four designated Federal sites.
- Protect our water and power. Idaho passed new laws preventing datacenters from draining our water or electricity. I will fight to pass a Federal bill modeled after these same restrictions.
Invest in the rural communities that define Idaho. Respect, Repair and Restore.
- Invest in rural infrastructure. Our federal tax-dollars should be used to improve Idaho’s rural way of life, improving water supplies, roads, schools, and hospitals.
- Trade school parity – the federal government should provide comparable funding and respect for trades schools, which are the bedrock of America.
- Rural internet access. We should increase, not cut, federal funding for rural broadband internet access. All Idahoans deserve equal access to essential technology.
- Expand Federal funding for rural hospitals and healthcare
- Protect Our Public Lands and the Roadless Rule for hunting, fishing, recreation, grazing and outdoor activities. Preserve our way of life for today and future generations.
- Decline the Federal Government’s “Invitation” to be a National Nuclear Waste Site.
Trade policy that helps, not hurts. I will support Federal policy that opens and protects markets for Idaho agriculture, cattle and dairy.
Farming and ranching in Idaho are a way of life. They’re the backbone of our economy and food security for our state, the Nation and the world. .
- Protect and enhance our water sources. Prevent water use from out-of-state data centers. I will secure Federal resources for water storage and reclamation projects, helping to protect water supplies for generations to come.
- Keep agriculture in Idaho for the next generation. The federal government should stabilize farming and ranching. I will fight for the passage of farm bills that provide a long-term roadmap for farmers and ranchers to plan and reliably profit from their hard work. For this generation, and the next. Minimizing chaos and uncertainty.
Career politicians have gotten rich while Idahoans struggle to make ends meet. That’s not an accident. This is what happens when Congress works for billionaires and corporations instead of voters. The fruits of Idaho’s labor should stay in Idaho — not get funneled to donors, lobbyists, and out-of-state interests.
- Term limits to stop career politicians. Two terms in the Senate, three in the House, 18 years for Supreme Court justices. F
- No stock or crypto trading in Congress. Members of Congress shouldn’t be trading stocks — especially in companies they regulate, promote, or fund. And they shouldn’t trade in crypto ever, as it enables direct bribes for passing bills.
- Dark money out of politics. Multibillion-dollar corporations shouldn’t get a bigger say in our elections than Idaho voters do.
- Ensure data privacy and limit surveillance. The government shouldn’t spy on its own citizens. AI regulations to protect people, not consolidate outsider power and control.
- Own and control your image
- End no-bid contracts. The government shouldn’t be spending our tax dollars to line the pockets of wealthy insiders.
Too many Idahoans are paying more for healthcare and getting less access.
- Fully fund Medicare and Medicaid, protecting healthcare for all Idaho, especially in rural areas.
- Restore ACA tax credits that lower insurance costs for Idaho families, and push for a bipartisan fix to restore real competition in the ACA marketplace.
- Incentivize prevention and early care as catching issues early improves health and lowers costs.
- Fund the VA properly so every veteran gets timely, first-rate care without the bureaucratic runaround.
- Return healthcare decisions to families and their doctors — not politicians.
- Secure our borders.
- Expand work visas to allow an efficient and legal pathway for seasonal and yearlong workers for our farms and dairies.
- Apply the law fairly, equitably and Constitutionally
Listen to the folks back home, not to whoever has your ear in Washington D.C. Instead of raising money for a party or special interest, I will spend that time speaking to, and working for, my constituents – Because that’s the job.
- Implement open lines of communication year-round, beyond the campaign season. Engage and respond to calls, letters, and emails – direct connection to D2 Idahoans.
- Be transparent and accountable. Publish a record of what’s getting done – casework resolved, bills introduced, constituent input received.
